PD-1 Shapes B Cells as Evildoers in the Tumor Microenvironment.

چکیده
Protumorigenic PD-1(hi) B cells, induced in hepatocellular carcinoma, suppress tumor-specific T-cell response via IL10-dependent pathways upon PD-1/PD-L1 interaction. Anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 antibodies may function not only through blocking the PD-1 coinhibitory pathway in T cells but also via abolishing the suppressive function of regulatory B cells. STAT3 as a Key Factor in Tumor Microenvironment and Cancer Stem Cell
Background Recent studies revealed that tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) play a decisive role in the regulation of tumor progression by manipulating tumor oncogenesis, angiogenesis and immune functions within tumor microenvironments. Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), which is a point of convergence for numerous oncogenic signalling pathways, is constitutively activ...
متن کاملExpression and clinical value of programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) in diffuse large B cell lymphoma: a retrospective study
BACKGROUND The programmed cell death-1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) pathway inhibits the activation of T cells and plays a crucial role in the negative regulation of cellular and humoral immune responses. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common lymphoid malignancy in adults. In the present study, we aimed to detect the expression of PD-L1 in DLBCL and to analyz...
متن کاملProducing Soluble Human Programmed Cell Death Protein-1: A Natural supporter for CD4+T cell Cytotoxicity and Tumor Cells Apoptosis
Background: Programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1)/PD-L1 pathway is one of the immune checkpoint pathways involved in regulation of the immune responses and suppression of anti-tumor defense. PD-1/B7-H1-blocking antibodies improve immune responses such as cytotoxic activity of CD8+/CD4+T cells and also increase mortality of tumor cells; however their use is accompanied by adverse effects in pat...
متن کاملVariable density of CD8+ and CD25+ programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) ligand (PD-L1) CD4+ T cells within the tumor microenvironment causes differential responses to the PD-1/PD-L1 blockade
The programmed cell death-1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death-1 ligand (PD-L1) pathway has been shown to play a pivotal role in tumor evasion. Inhibition of PD-1 and its ligand PD-L1 using an immune checkpoint inhibitor has emerged as a promising immunotherapy for the treatment of various types of cancer. The expression of PD-L1 in tumor cells and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) has been shown...
متن کاملO27: Interaction of Cancer Stem Cells and Microglia in Glioblastoma Multiforme
Malignant gliomas are highly invasive brain tumors with the occurrence of multiple microglia/macrophages in the tumor microenvironment. Macrophages/microglia that found in glioma microenvironment, as tumor-infiltrating immune cells, can play a harmful role in tumor progression. In addition, glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) contains multiple aberrant differentiation and tumorigenic cancer stem cell...
